A romance where the holidays heat up at Freedom Ridge — and so does a cold-blooded threat.
Army Ranger Dan Winchester returned from war with scars that run deep. Managing the restaurant at Freedom Ridge Resort keeps his mind occupied, but he refuses to let anyone close enough to touch his heart—until he hires Ashley Castle. The talented new head chef is everything he isn’t: vibrant, hopeful, and determined to break through his defenses. But just as Dan begins to believe he might deserve a second chance at happiness, a series of malicious pranks escalates into life-threatening danger. Ashley came to Colorado for a fresh start, not to fall for her brooding boss. Yet, beneath Dan’s gruff exterior lies a protector she cannot resist. When Dan’s father is poisoned and Ashley becomes the target of a madman hiding in plain sight, the festive season turns into a nightmare. With a snowstorm trapping them and a killer closing in, Dan must conquer his own demons to save the woman who has finally started healing his hero’s heart.

Director’s Commentary
This story explores the healing power of love and faith for a veteran struggling with PTSD during the Christmas season. It contrasts the warmth of a holiday kitchen romance with the chilling threat of a stalker seeking revenge against the hero.
