Long bio

Elle E. Kay’s path to thrillers ran through a legal-field career and a lifetime of reading too late into the night. She now writes three braided subgenres—political thrillers featuring the CIA and Homeland Security, military thrillers, and romantic suspense centered on park rangers, state troopers, and bodyguards—anchored by characters whose faith and duty collide under pressure. Her catalog spans twenty-seven published novels and has crossed sixteen million Kindle Unlimited page reads. Midnight Masquerade, a political thriller in the Toxic Truths series, is a 2026 ACFW Carol Award Finalist in the Mystery/Thriller/Suspense category. Her Pennsylvania Parks series earned First and Third Place Angel Awards in Mystery/Suspense at the Faith & Fellowship Book Festival, alongside praise from Kirkus Reviews for its dynamic characters and propulsive pacing. Earlier titles have also earned ACFW Genesis Semi-Finalist recognition and the ACFW Qualified Independently Published designation. Beyond the page, Elle hosts the VIP Reader Club newsletter, where members receive a full-length novel—Shadowing Stella, book one of the Endless Mountain Series—as a welcome gift. She lives on a Pennsylvania hobby farm with her family, a stubborn herd of goats, and a desk that faces the hills she grew up on.
