Memory Lane the first book in Becky Wade’s Sons of Scandal Series utilizes the amnesia trope to bring a wealthy bachelor and a struggling sculptor together.
While I didn’t care much for the heroine, Remy, in this one, I think the author did an excellent job with characterization. People respond to traumatic experiences in many different ways, and this novel showcases one of those methods of coping by cutting herself off from the world and keeping everyone at arms length. However, the female main character arc showed tremendous growth from the start of the story to the end.
The hero, Jeremiah, starts out less than likeable with his demanding and gruff attitude, but I quickly warmed up to him as he overcame obstacles and learned to cope with life without his memories while also investigating the possible murder of his wife and navigating relationships.
Overall, this was a complex story that kept me engaged from start to finish, and I recommend reading it.
In Rocky Road, Jude Camden is an FBI Agent and the brother of Jeremiah from the first book in the series, Memory Lane. I thought this book was even better than the first. Jude was down-to-earth, likeable, and downright swoony. Gemma is a perfumer with a criminal family member whom Jude is looking to bring to justice.
This one uses the fake relationship trope and mixes it with a touch of suspense for a real page turner.

Becky Wade completed the Sons of Scandal series with this delightful third book, Uneasy Street.
In her final installment of the series, Max, the so-called “illegitimate” son of Felix Camden schemes to confront his former business partner and best friend. His nemesis, Sloane, is in town to spend the summer with her niece, Ivy, and agrees to help her find her biological father.
It’s an enemies to love story with the full gamut of emotions from angst to swoon.
This novel wraps up some side stories we’ve been following since Memory Lane, so make sure to read this series in order for the full experience.
