Today I’d like to introduce you to a hybrid author who contributed to the Two Dogs Publications Love Blooms on Valentines and Cold Escape anthologies.
In addition to her contributions to the aforementioned anthologies, Ms. Lee has published some titles independently, and you can find many of her titles in Harlequinne’s Love Inspired Suspense line.
Publishers Weekly #1 best-selling author Katy Lee has penned over forty novels full of character-driven intrigue, romance and inspiration. She is a multi-award nominee for both the RITA® Award and Daphne du Maurier Award for her excellence in mystery and suspense. Katy lives in Utah’s beautiful, rugged mountains where she is a special education teacher and runs a literary non-profit called Story Haven Writers to help people write their stories. Keep up with Katy and her latest news at KatyLeeBooks.com.
When you sign up for her newsletter, she’ll send you a free story, Table for One.
What has been the most surprising or rewarding aspect of your writing career so far?
I have heard from so many wonderful readers who I consider friends from all over the world.
Are there specific themes or messages that are close to your heart?
My stories carry the theme of overcoming hardships and never giving up. My greatest response I received from a reader was “Your book helped me start over and begin again.” That sums it up.
What advice would you give to aspiring authors who dream of publishing their own stories one day?
You have a story in you, but if you don’t want to write it, just know someone else will. So, keep writing and don’t stop.
A ransom note left in her apartment tells Christina Depalo that changing her name and hiding in the big city hadn’t been enough to escape her dangerous family. The Morans have kidnapped her roommate, demanding Christina return to Georgia. But that will mean facing the cutthroat attorney Marcus Cartwright, a man she once loved but who only wanted to take down her family.
Marcus had started a coalition with his friend to crack down on organized crime in Savannah. But when his friend loses his life in a supposed accident, nothing will stop Marcus from seeking justice, not even the Moran’s prodigal daughter who left town twelve years ago. Nobody will derail him this time.
But then Christina never was a nobody.
*Real Justice follows Real Virtue. Book Three Real Cold will release later this year to complete the Web of Lies series of suspenseful crime stories with a Happy Ever After for each romance.
